Oak Ridge happens to be my hometown. Born and raised there, I grew up with security message billboards, learned to swim in the spring fed swimming pool and graduated with 423 (or was it 432?) of my peers, on Blankenship Field. While Oak Ridge has continued to evolve, one thing hasn’t changed – the pride in community that Oak Ridge has always possessed.
With beautiful natural surroundings, walking trails, rivers and recreational areas, nearly anyone can find something to do outdoors and at their own physical level. The school system is considered one of the best in the state and, there has always been a dedicated arts community. There’s a lot to do and get involved with when you live in Oak Ridge, so be sure to take advantage of it!
