Downtown Knoxville is the Jewel of East Tennessee

The renaissance of Downtown Knoxville has been in high gear over the last 20 years, and downtown is ready for you, too!  Do you want to live in a city where you can work, play, shop and entertain within walking distance? Or with biking distance of your home?  If so, you really want to check out our city’s downtown.

Downtown offers a lot of everything.  Craft breweries and unique restaurant menus.  Art galleries and First Friday art walks. Boutique and high end shopping venues.  Live jazz.  Professional symphony and opera companies.  Experimental and original rock and roll.  There is SO much to do here!

Meet a friend at the WDVX Blue Plate Special, for example.  This show features local and national musical acts, live on the radio every day at Noon.  Stroll through Market Square, and in the winter, enjoy holiday lighting on Krutch Park.

And to live here?  You’ll find high end condominiums along Gay Street, and convenient rental units across the bridge to South Knoxville.  For historic homes, search out nearby neighborhoods like Parkridge, Old North Knoxville and Fourth and Gill.  Would you like to be within walking distance to the University of Tennessee?  Then you should cross Henley Street and head into Fort Sanders, with a solid mix of historic and new homes and the small park that pays homage to Knoxville’s own James Agee.  Visit the websites below, to get a sense of some of the possibilities, and of the people you will meet here!
